Wyncote, PA – Cheltenham High School (September 9, 2017) – The Cheltenham School District Foundation (CSDF) welcomed more than fifteen hundred community members to the 4th Annual Food Truck Jamboree on Sept. 9. Clear blue skies served as the backdrop for families and friends to enjoy the day and sample food from regional food truck favorites such as Humpty’s Dumplings, Smokin Tacos, Gigi’s & Big R Soul Food, and Li Ping Corn Company, to name a few.
“I can think of no better way to raise funds for the Foundation,” said Laura Baldwin, president of the Cheltenham School District Foundation. “The Food Truck Jamboree is the event that opens the new school year by bringing the community together through good food and student entertainment.”
The fundraiser featured a robust silent auction that offered items from local businesses. The winning 50/50 ticket is still out there, CSDF is searching for the winner. The winning number is posted on their Facebook page: facebook.com/CheltenhamSDF/.
Cheltenham’s own DJ Biscuit emceed the day as talented students, and local musicians took the stage with live music throughout the day. Student groups like Up the Octave, Sons of Pitch, CHS Marching Panthers, Matt Ryan Band, Dave Cohen and Deirdre Finnegan, Jonathan McCoy, and Destiny Lewis-Upchurch entertained families and children of all ages.
